THE ONLY POSITIVE REVIEWS HERE, ARE FAKE PROFILES MADE TO PUT POSITIVE REVIEWS FOR TURKISH AIRLINES!
Denied boarding at transit in Istanbul with Turkish Airlines, with NO explanation, despite valid corona test results and confirmation from both embassy and destination country regarding entrance that had already given me a green light for entrance already at my first departure. It took them 6 hours to get the Turkish Airlines manager to show up, who simply stated it was MY own problem. Hotel and flight home were NOT compensated for, nor the lost tickets. This is extremely corrupt and inappropriate behaviour, and there's a huge risk you'll be trapped by Turkish Airlines. They refused to call and check with the embassy or destination country, even though the embassy gave me their contact number and e-mail for them, they said it didn't matter, because they didn't allow me to enter because of their own policies. They didn't clarify which policy at all. They denied me to take phone calls or to make them for me, or to exit the airport to find a payphone.
Turkish Airlines are currently advertising their “extra care” Programme. Please note this includes refusing Refunds, last minute cancellations, dishonesty and lies when attempting to resolve problems.

Flights cancelled 6th June 2020 since which time I have spent time attempting to get a Refund without success. Ignored, lied to, given false information, etc etc. Dealing with the Mafia must be easier. Use this so called Airline at your peril
The worst airline ever!
I booked a Business Class flight for myself and child to LHR from KUL at the end of June 2021 and returning at the beginning of August 2021
My initial out bound flight was cancelled. I called TA immediately to arrange an alternative flight. I was able to secure a flight a day earlier than my original flight.
Just out of curiosity, I logged on to the TA website last week to manage my booking, only to discover that both outward and inward journeys are no longer on the system. It was as if my booking had vanished. When I called to query this, a rude customer service agent named Alesia in the ticketing department said that the previous agent who rescheduled my flight failed to complete the booking. I thought that was a strange reason, because I had a confirmation email of my new flights. I even picked my seats and selected my meals… I digress. So, I continued to quiz Alesia about this and then asked for a refund. She laughed!!!!
I demanded to be put through to the complaints department. She refused and said that I must complete a “feedback form” in order to be passed on to the Customer Relations department.
I proceeded to complete a “feedback form” on their website. I was issued with number TK-4949094. I highlighted the issues mentioned above and was told it would take 7 days for them to get back to me. So, I called again, armed with my “feedback” number. I was finally transferred to the Customer Relations department. I explained my case and they said that they’ll mark my case as “urgent”. I called everyday for 6 days, every member of staff said they’ll expedite my case.
Another peculiar problem with TA is the the Customer Relations department has no direct method of communicating with the Feedback (FB) department. They just update a centralised system and hope the FB department read it. Oh, there are no supervisors or managers in the call centre apparently! Go figure!
I finally get a reply from the FB department by a gentleman named “Burhan O”. This is the email below:
“Dear XXXX XXX,
First of all, we are sorry for your problem.
In consequence of the investigation we made upon your feedback, on 17.04.2021 with phone number 060xxxxxxxxx we unfortunately could not find your voice record since you did not approve recording of your interview with our call center.
If you called on different date, time and number please inform us.

I confirmed my number several times throughout the week when I called to chase up the status of my case. “Burhan O” is clearly incompetent, the buffoon didn’t realise that that he was missing a double zero for international dialling code. (See email above)
So, I immediately called the CR department and all they could do is create another “Feedback Form”! They hadn’t even resolved the first one. The agent reassured me that it would be a much quicker response because it’s related to a previous case. I was highly sceptical, I even told him that a new FB form would start the whole 7 day wait all over again! I called back immediately with my new number TK-4966428 to speak with another agent who confirmed my suspicion, it will indeed take another 7 days!!!! The previous guy lied to me exactly as I suspected.
They will say whatever it takes to get you off the phone.
I have had better luck with Biman Bangladesh, now that’s saying something!

Background about me:
I have flown with TA many times and have never had a problem until now. I even featured in TA’s marketing material as one of the grand finalists in the Turkish Airlines Golf World Cup back in 2018. I really was rooting for them. But now I’m left with a sour taste in mouth about this whole experience. No flights, no refund.
Refund within 24 hours of cancellation of flight. Turkish certainly do leave other airlines standing when it comes to dealing with refunds - I previously received a refund from a subsidiary company of theirs (Anadolu Jet) within 24 hours for a different flight and was impressed with that. I am now kicking myself for not taking the offer of a refund +15% as a credit because in an uncertain world it is reassuring that (unlike UK airlines and India Airways where I have had to resort to 'chargeback') Turkish Airlines provide such an excellent customer service. For me, Turkish Airlines are like the no quibble Jet2 in the UK and this is a massively important factor when booking flights in the future. Long ago, I stopped booking through Online Travel Agents (OTA's) based on an horrendous experience with OPODO (see previous reviews) and I'm sure that other negative reviews about refunds from Turkish Airlines relate to booking through an OTA. Yes, fares booked direct with Turkish Airlines are a little bit more expensive, but in my experience, booking direct with the airline (any airline) makes ironing out problems a lot easier.
Terrible customer service. I had a trip in May 2021 that I had to cancel because of rising covid cases and Turkey being on lockdown. I wanted to reschedule my trip to May 2022 but the company wouldn't let me because I booked the ticket in March 2021. I pleaded the agent (Umut) to please be flexible and let me to talk to the manager to see if they can make a exception to the rule because of the covid crisis. He responded that he is the higher person at the call center and there is nothing he could do. The company only cares about money not about the experience with the customer. Umut also mentioned that what "news" I am getting my information from because Turkish airlines site did not mention cancelling of international flights. Umut admitted that there is a domestic flight cancellation and lockdown in the city but did not have the common sense to understand that an international traveler would not come to turkey only to spend his time in lockdown. Other than Umet the other agents are so terrible and do not care about the human side of providing a service. They are so arrogant in their tone, I would rather pay more money for another airline that travel with Turkish Airlines. Absolute, complete trash of a company who does not know how to train their customer service reps.
I will be honest. Turkish Airline’s customer support IS helpful, but only after many calls and emails to get the RIGHT person.
I had 2 experiences with them about the same flight (ESTONIA - COLOMBIA) which I will summarise below.
1. Summer 2020.
I had to cancel my flight due to coronavirus restrictions. I tried to do it online as advised, but it was not possible. I filled out a form online and was asked to contact support because it was not possible to do this via the form. So I contacted customer support (+902124440849) asking for a refund but they said it was impossible and that I should call the COLOMBIAN office. I called the COLOMBIAN office and they told me to contact the ESTONIAN OFFICE via email. The ESTONIAN office NEVER replied to the email nor picked up the phone. I contacted support via Facebook and the person told me to contact customer support AGAIN. Finally, someone was able to help me but they told me that, for X reason, I could not get a refund but an open ticket. I said fine.
2. Spring 2021
I call customer service (+902124440849) asking to use my open ticket and book the flight. Everything was going well but the lady told me it was impossible for her to book the flight. Why? She gave no explanation, just told me to contact the ESTONIAN office again (the one that never bothered to answer my email in 2020).
I contact the office and they never pick up the phone, as usual. Then I contact (+902124440849) again wanting to know WHY they can’t change the ticket and if there is another number that is not the ESTONIAN office. The man almost manages to book my flight but tells me it is not possible because one of the connections was cancelled by their partner airline. I write to their Twitter help desk and they say that customer support is unable to carry out transactions over the phone (?) They also said to contact +90 850 333 0 849. Finally, the lady IS ABLE to help me but the line gets disconnected (not their phone). Then, surprisingly, the ESTONIAN office gets back to me via email and the problem is solved.
PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY BY ALL COST!!!!!! Absolutely poor service from Turkish airline and representative. Literally was not told my flight and location has been changed. Called to add extra luggae. they could not find my flight. got transferred. then was told theres issue with my booking, i kept asking what is wrong and she was quiet.. then i received email and text while on the phone and she came back and just transfered my call again.. spoke someone else that told me my flight has been changed which i mentioned i was not notified until i just called now.. without saying anything i got transferred AGAIN!!! 1 hour and a half min later on the phone someone came on and said they do not have superior or manager to help discuss any issues but if youre buying a ticket they have one available in sales. never will book with these filth of a company that does not take any responsibility for their actions. i should have seen all these reviews before then and avoided them at all cost! disgusting company that does not want to solve any issues instead adding a massive travel expenses for no reason. TAKE RESPONSIBILTY!!!! BACKWARDS AIRLINE!!

I tried to book a ticket and paid with my Mrs card. Their website automatically took that name and generated a ticket of that name. I wasn’t letting me change so I called customer service. They told me to write a feedback explaining the issue. 24h later i got an email saying it wasn’t possible to change the name. So i called customer service again and they’ve been very useless leaving me the only option to cancel the flight and only get a partial refund.
Worst experience ever!! Never book with them
5 star service you get nice entertainment and food always use never had problems
Trying to obtain a refund for a connecting flight they cancelled that left me stranded at an airport. TA is refusing to refund me. They claim that I authorised the cancellation.
Had to spend the night sitting in the cold airport in Paris as no one from TA was present.
Then I had to pay for a ticket to get myself to my final destination.
The airline is claiming that I authorised this cancellation, which is ridiculous. The distance between Paris and Toulouse (my final return destination) is nearly 700 km – not a distance anyone would choose to walk, dragging their luggage behind them.
Moreover, had I done so, they would have HAD to offer a voucher or air miles. They didn't.
I have written at least ten emails to their customer service. Their replies have been negative and unhelpful.
I have since joined a class action group in order to try to recover the cost of my national ticket.
I will never fly with this airline again
We were crammed on that flight like sardines, not ONE seat was empty on that plane, but then they don't serve you any beverages because it's "unsafe during Corona" (?). And even the food was just one horrible cheese sandwich and a small piece of cake. How is serving proper food and refreshments more of a risk than cramming 3 passengers on each side of the aisle?
I feel very unsafe traveling back with them, but I will definitely not book again with them.
This is not to mention the horrible and unhelpful customer service, which first told me I am entitled to a partial refund because of a class degrade, but then told me I am no longer entitled to this refund because since my flight was cancelled, the reschuling (and hence the class downgrade) will be offered free of charge. How does that make sense? I had to reschedule and get a class downgrade because my flight was canceled, not the other way around! Don't act like offering this rescheduling was a favor for me!
Never again Turkish Airlines!
PLEASE AVOID TURKISH AIRLINES
Turkish airlines is the worst. They always avoid helping customers and keep you in loop forever. There is no way to get a refund. They keep saying that they are working on the problem. There flights get cancelled and I can't contact their helpline or customer care. Extremely bad customer experience. Looks like they are trying to survive with customer money instead of giving them refund. Looks like this is the dying airlines.
There website is broken and I have to call customer care even for simple queries. They customer care are trained to keep you in loop until you give up and move on. Worst airlines ever. Most of the time they are lying to you and they won't help you.
